In the US, Modi had been dazzled by the immense incomes of the American games associations. In 1995, he tried out his thought for another 50-over competition to BCCI. He even enlisted a name – Indian Cricket League Limited – for the proposed association.
In any case, the BCCI didn’t view the proposition in a serious way. Modi then, at that point, made plans to join the Board. As a stage toward this objective, in 1999, he figured out how to get chosen for the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association, a constituent group of BCCI.
However, his endeavour to oversee the Association fizzled, and he had to leave the Association by the Chief Minister of the state. In 2004, Modi was chosen as the VP of the Punjab Cricket Association, under President Inderjit Singh Bindra. He held this situation in the 2008 elections.
