ICC T20 Worldcup 2022 Update | On October 16 to November 13, 2022, Australia will host the ICC Men’s Cricket T20 World Cup 2022, the eighth T20 cricket world cup.

Initially scheduled in India in October and November 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed in 2021 that the last tournament has postponed to 2022 due to COVID-19.

Accordingly, the ICC reaffirmed Australia’s hosting of the 2022 tournament 2022.

Defenders of the title Australia will have the advantage of being at home as they compete for the ICC T20 World 2022 champions title against strong contenders such as India, England, Pakistan, South Africa, and New Zealand, among others.

Dark horses like Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Bangladesh can upset any title contender on their day.

On the other hand, Scotland and Ireland have concerned many applecarts, and teams that underestimate them will do so at their peril.

The BCCI has announced the schedule and qualification pathway for the T20 World Cup 2022.

A total of 16 teams will compete in the T20 World Cup in India in 2022, including the Global Qualifiers A and B.

The final will be at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 13, 2022.

The semi-finals will be on November 9 and 10 at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Adelaide Oval, respectively.

Then, on October 23, India will play its first match against Pakistan.

After the qualifying stages, the T20 matches will be played amongst the 12 teams, popularly known as the Super 12. There will be two groups made up of the teams.

The World Cup 2022 T20 will kick off on Sunday, October 16, with a match between Sri Lanka and Namibia.

The ICC World Cup T20 2022 tournament will feature 16 teams from:

The T20 World Cup Qualifier determines the remaining six teams.

In Round 1, four of these six teams will eliminate.

The T20 World Cup 2022 points table will be calculated in the same manner as previous T20 seasons’ points tables.

The teams will be assigned points in the following four primary headings:

1. The total number of games played
2. Number of victories
3. Number of lost matches
4. In the event of a tie, there will be no outcome.
