Ind vs Ban 2nd ODI Highlights
Injured Rohit Sharma put up a heroic fight in India vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI. However, Bangladesh edged India by 5 runs to grab an unstoppable 2-0 series lead, negating his magnificent 28-ball 51-run effort, pursuing the 272-run goal.
Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel gave India hope through their 107-run partnership. However, the match was unable to lead India through. Rohit, the No. 9 batter, came to bat with a bandaged finger but was unsuccessful. Mehidy Hasan Miraz blasted an outstanding century to lead Bangladesh to 271/7.
Ind vs Ban 2nd ODI Highlights in Detail
India got off to the worst possible start when chasing a target of 272. With Rohit hurt and KL Rahul worn out, Virat Kohli, promoted to open, left the field in the second over. Soon after, Shikhar Dhawan did the same. Mustafizur Rahman got rid of him in the third over for just eight runs.
For the 1st time in his career, Washington Sundar got to bat at position number four in ODIs. Despite Bangladesh’s precision bowling, he appeared strong for a while but only lasted 19 balls. India’s scoreboard read 39/3 when he left the field in the 10th over, scoring 11 runs.
KL Rahul, India’s batsman hero in the first ODI, entered the field. The wicketkeeper-batsman also had trouble getting his timing correct against both pacers and spinners. He could use only 14 of the 28 balls he faced. When the Karnataka boy left in the 19th over with only 65 runs scored, India was more than a little in trouble.
India yearned for collaboration and finally found it in Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel. Together, the two scored 105 runs, the fifth wicket. Iyer was the Blues’ standout batsman that evening and appeared to be in superb form. He scored 82 runs until Mehidy Hasan, the game’s perfect player, removed him.
Then, Ebadot Hossain, a bowler, dismissed Axar Patel, who had contributed 56 runs in as many balls in the 39th over.
As a result of Axar’s dismissal, the Bangladeshi attack, which got driven and hungry, quickly increased the asking rate while pressuring the Indian batters to take risks.
All-rounder Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur were lost by India in short succession, forcing captain Rohit Sharma to move into the middle. Even though Rohit suffered agony in his damaged left thumb, he attacked the Bangladesh bowlers. Under challenging circumstances, he engaged in firefighting and earned a fighting hundred.
To keep India in the game, the Indian captain hit 51 runs in 28 balls, an innings that featured three boundaries and five sixes. Unfortunately, India dropped the match by 5 runs, dropping the series, which still has one game left, to 2-0.
In addition to Miraz, Mahmudullah hit 71, while Nasum’s 10-ball cameo of 18 runs helped Bangladesh destroy the Indian bowling. Bangladesh must praise Miraz and Mahmudlah for their record-breaking 147-run seventh wicket stand.
Bangladesh improved from 69 to 271 after a setback. With a 3/37, Washington Sundar was India’s top bowler. India lost the ODI series in Bangladesh for the second time. India, under MS Dhoni, was defeated in 2015.
Earlier, Litton Das chose to bat in the second ODI after winning the toss. Nasum Ahmed in Bangladesh has replaced Hasan Mahmud. Kuldeep Sen and Shahbaz Ahmed are absent from India, while Axar Patel and Umran Malik are back.

The all-rounder and Mahmudullah put up an incredible 148-run partnership for the 7th wicket to rescue the team from difficulties and subsequently assist in posting a problematic total. Ever ODI knock
Hasan produced his finest ODI knock yet, earning his first international century, while Mahmudullah scored a superb 77. Hasan, the match’s breakout star, once again shone against the inexperienced Indian bowler KL. The Hasan Mahmudullah partnership flourished from the 19th to the 46th over, keeping Rahul and his bowlers well off the Bangladesh bottom order. On the last delivery of the innings, Hasan finally reached his first ODI, leading Bangladesh to 271 for 7.

India vs Bangladesh | Captains Words after the Match
Bangladesh captain | Litton Das
I am thrilled; it feels nice to have won my first game as captain. 240–250 was a good score, in our opinion. Despite the strain, Mahmudullah and Mehidy performed brilliantly. I have no idea what they discussed, but what they accomplished was just outstanding.
It was a fantastic pitch in the second half, so I wanted to rotate my primary bowlers, but I couldn’t afford to bowl too many of them early. The next game’s focus will also be on winning.
India captain | Rohit Sharma
The thumb injury is not severe. It has a few sutures and some dislocation. Fortunately, there wasn’t a fracture, and I could still bat.
There are benefits and drawbacks to losing a game. Allowing them to reach 270+ from 69/6 could have been a better result for our bowlers.
We got off to a good start, but the middle and end are hurting us. It occurred in the last game as well. It’s something we must improve. While Mehidy and Mahmudullah had an excellent partnership—no offense intended—we also need to figure out how to end such relationships.
In one-day cricket, partnerships are essential, and you must ensure that when you acquire them, they become match-winning partnerships. They acted in that manner. It is difficult for the new batter, so if you get those 70-run stands, you need to turn them into partnerships of 110–120 runs for the club to win games. To be more courageous in the middle.
We need to figure out why there are so few injury concerns. It’s crucial to comprehend this; therefore, we must attempt to keep an eye on them. They must be at their best when they appear to play for India. We must keep an eye on their workload because we need fully fit players to compete for the nation.
Mehidy Hasan | Man of the Match | Ind vs Ban 2nd ODI
God has praised me for giving me a chance to achieve this. Not much else to say. Feels fantastic. In recent years, I’ve put a lot of effort into my batting and concentrated on specific areas to improve.
I’ve received a lot of advice from my coaches on how to raise my game. Mahmudullah’s Riyad Bhai (Mahmud) kept reminding me that we should play well into the innings, and the conversations centered on maintaining modest partnership goals. I told them I attempted to push them by hitting the ball in suitable locations.
