Jos Buttler| England Captain
Since England lost to Ireland, we have displayed incredible character. We were eager to arrive here & the atmosphere was wonderful. From 1 to 11 people stepped up in the match. We always aim for a quick & forceful start. Rashid was batting at position eleven; knowing that we have such depth is impressive. Hales made better use of the proportions and demonstrated his physique.
He was brilliant in the entire match. It’s vital to take in this; we gave a terrific performance. It was a difficult job for Jordan to bowl three overs at the end of the game before the semifinal. Therefore he deserves extra credit. He did an excellent job of handling the pressure in the future, especially while bowling against a global player like Hardik Pandya.

I’m somewhat dissatisfied with how it came out in the match. To earn that result, we batted well in the later innings. However, we couldn’t show up since we needed to deficient enough with the ball. In knockout games, it’s all about managing the pressure. These guys have all played enough games to comprehend that. These players have experience playing under pressure in IPL games; the key is to remain composed. Initially, we were a little nervous, but their openers played pretty well, so you have to give them credit for that.
The first over seemed to swing slightly, but not in the appropriate places. We were aware that runs are scored directly off the wicket—our first-game victory showed a lot of character. The match against Bangladesh was challenging. I believed defending 85 runs in 9 overs was challenging, but we maintained composure and carried out our strategies. And we get into trouble when we don’t carry out our plans.

It will undoubtedly rank highly (referring to perfect innings). The huge occasion with India in the World Cup semifinals, pleased with my performance, which is as great as it gets. This is one of the most excellent fields to bat in, especially in power play. It has a great surface and is perfect for good cricket strokes. I enjoy batting here and have fond memories of this field. I never imagined I would get the chance to play in another World Cup, so getting the opportunity in Australia, a place I adore and spend a lot of time in is a unique feeling. It was one of the most special days of my career. Jos was excellent.
