Australia, on the other hand, upped its game considerably, and eventually, India was unable to match Australia’s batting potency. India has a number of areas to improve as the T20 World Cup approaches swiftly, particularly with its bowling attack and middle-order hitters.
Captain Words after the Match | IND-W vs AUS-W T20I
Australia Women Captain | Tahlia McGrath
India is always a great opponent. Watching Ash Gardner and Grace Harris put on a terrific clinic Tuesday was entertaining. We take great satisfaction in our brave cricket.
India came at us quickly and heavily. The grounds were nice, and this place always takes excellent care of us.
Indian Women Team Captain | Harmanpreet Kaur
For the first 10 to 12 overs, we played well. However, due to their strength, we have yet to be able to bowl as well as we would have liked since then. We were aware of the difficulties we would face with Australia visiting; there would be plenty to learn and improve upon.
We were easily losing at first, but now, no matter who goes out, we are confident in our ability to win. That sense of self-worth has been crucial. We now have a month off to relax and reorganize. The following obstacle will be to concentrate on power hitting.
Ashleigh Gardner | Player of the Series
I enjoy playing cricket and benefiting from it on the field. With someone like Grace, batting is incredibly simple and relieves much of my stress. She is the more powerful speaker, and she backs up what she says.
It varies depending on the day; I’m a better batter on some days. On days like today, you inevitably do both. Range hitting is great occasionally, but I only do it occasionally because I occasionally become out of shape.
