The highlight of Hong Kong’s innings against India on Wednesday was undoubtedly Virat Kohli’s bowling in a T20I match after a break of nearly six years.

Kohli bowled the 17th over of the inning. Sadly, the 33-year-old failed to claim a wicket, but his single over, in which he allowed six runs, became viral online.

Kohli hadn’t bowled in a T20I since 2016, but when India needed to defend seven runs in the final over, MS Dhoni decided to pitch the ball to him.

“Only I, out of the entire team, have confidence in my bowling. After that, I developed back problems, and I never again bowled (in an international game),” Kohli stated in an interview with Star Sports.

Kohli scored his first international half-century in Wednesday’s match against Hong Kong, making a confident 59 not out. This follows his score of 35 against Pakistan in India’s Asia Cup opener.
