Ronaldo is the highest-paid player in the Premier League, earning an annual salary of €30 million until 2023, with the option for an additional year.
This salary made him earn more than David de Gea, who had been Man Utd’s highest-paid player for a few seasons.
The top three highest-paid players at Old Trafford are all summer 2021 signings, with Sancho taking home €21m a year and Varane on €20m.
Paul Pogba is the fifth-highest earner but will leave on a free transfer at the end of June.
Bruno Fernandes, despite his continued excellence since signing from Sporting CP, is only the ninth-highest.
Harry Maguire, the club’s captain, earns less than half of what Ronaldo and De Gea do, taking in a salary of €11m per year.
Scott McTominay and Jesse Lingard surprisingly have small wages, with the latter also leaving on a Bosman transfer at the end of June.
McTominay, as a regular starter, will be hoping for an increase in salary over the next year.
