Pakistan vs England 7th T20I Highlights: England defeated Pakistan in the 7th T20 International to win the series 4-3 with a massive 67-run in the final game.

Pakistan, one that won the toss & chose to bat, was effectively out of the chase after captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan left in the first two overs. Pakistan finished with a score of 142-8.

England completed their first tour to Pakistan in 17 years with a 67-run victory in the Twenty20 decider on Sunday (October 2), completing the thrilling seven-match series 4-3.

In England’s substantial total of 209-3, Dawid Malan (78 not out off 47 balls) smashed his first half-century of the series.

Harry Brook hit an unbeaten 29-ball 46 as both profited from three dropped catches.

In Chris Woakes’ first over, Babar, who dropped both Malan and Brook, gave a proper catch at cover, and Reece Topley clean bowled Rizwan off a full-length delivery.

No. 3 Shan Masood batted alone for 56 runs off 43 balls against disciplined England pacers Woakes (3-26), Sam Curran (1-27), David Willey (2-22), and Topley (1-34).

Jos Buttler, the regular England T20 captain, did not play a single game on tour due to an injured calf.

England’s opening pair of Phil Salt (20) & Alex Hales (18) once again provided a brisk start of 39 before both fell in the fifth in three deliveries.

Mohammad Hasnain pinned Hales leg before wicket (lbw), one of four changes made by Pakistan from the team that lost the previous game by eight wickets on Friday.

On the other hand, Salt couldn’t hold Shadab Khan’s strong direct throw, forced to leave after Malan refused a single and stood his ground at the striker’s end.

Rizwan clipped the bails after the ball bounced in front of him off Duckett’s bat, but England scored more than ten runs per over in the first half of the innings.

Sloppy Pakistani fielding allowed Malan and Brook to combine for a sturdy and unbroken 108-run standoff of 61 balls.

Babar dropped both batters in their twenties, and Mohammad Wasim dropped after Malan reached his half-century.

“Our fielding was not up to par today,” Babar said, “and when you drop crucial catches of set batters, you’re bound to struggle.”

Haris Rauf bowled well in the death overs to finish 0-24, and Mohammad Wasim, Pakistan’s third most expensive T20 international bowler, cost 0-61.

“On the field, we were unable to carry out our plans, and England deserves credit for fully capitalizing,” Babar said.

Brook had four sixes to Malan’s eight fours, three sixes, & a boundary as Wasim conceded 20 in the final, lifting England to their second-highest total of the series.

Pakistan’s middle order struggled throughout the series and couldn’t handle the pressure after Babar and Rizwan left early.

Willey dropped a skier off his bowling that could have ended Iftikhar Ahmed’s innings before he found the outside edge of the right-hander, allowing Pakistan to slip to 33-3 inside the batting powerplay.

England used pace to strangle Pakistan’s struggling middle order, and Pakistan never looked like challenging a large total.

Masood, who scored his second half-century of the series after making his T20 debut in Karachi, was caught by a diving Adil Rashid at short third-man in the penultimate over of the innings.

England will return to Pakistan for a three-Test series in December.

Babar Azam | Pakistan vs England 7th T20I Highlights

It was unquestionably tricky. With 200 runs on the board, losing early wickets puts pressure on the remaining batters.

This series was critical to our success. We must improve in the shortest possible time.

I also mentioned during the coin toss that we have a strong bowling attack.

Haris is bowling well and getting better every day. I believe the entire country anticipated this, and we were delighted to host England.

I just try to hit the ball straight and play it on its own merits. Lots of practice, drills, and time in the nets (has helped him execute those shots).

All of the lads are excited to get out there and play against Australia in the three-match series, followed by the World Cup. It’s been a lot of fun.

Dawid Malan | Player Of The Match: Pakistan vs England 7th T20I Highlights

We put up a big score, which was a fantastic effort from us. We felt the first 12-14 overs were going well.

Fortunately, our bowlers learned from the mistakes of the opposing bowlers. It slowed significantly. We are excited to travel to Australia in a few days.
