Pro Kabaddi League 2022 Highlights, Day 4 | U Mumba Beat UP Yoddhas; Dabang Delhi Thrash Gujarat Giants

U Mumba will be looking for their first victory in Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 after a setback in the opening match.

In their second season encounter, they will face U.P. Yoddhas and need a complete effort to defeat the Yoddhas.

Guman Singh, their primary raider, will need to improve on his four raid points from the previous game, and he will need support in an assault by the likes of Shivam and Jai Bhagwan.

U Mumba will also be hoping that Ashish, who scored seven raid points in the season’s opening game, can maintain his success.

Surinder Singh, the captain, will need to lead by example defensively following a disappointing performance the last time out.

Surinder, Harendra Kumar, Rinku, Mohit Kiran Magar, and others will need to be at their best to stop the Yoddhas’ great raiders.

In the match, Bhagwan scored 6 points, and Guman scored 5. U Mumba established a 5-2 lead in the seventh minute with two raids from Jai Bhagwan and Guman Singh.

The U Mumba defense, captained by Surinder Singh, supported its raiders and allowed the Mumbai squad to go forward.

Rinku made a tremendous tackle on Surender Gill in the 14th minute, allowing U Mumba to maintain their 9-6 advantage.

Bhagwan scored a handful of raid points as U Mumba led comfortably at 14-9 at the break.

U.P. Yoddhas, on the other hand, will be confident of winning back-to-back games after defeating Jaipur Pink Panthers in their season opener.

In their opening season match, Pardeep Narwal, Surender Gill, and Rohit Tomar made an impact in attack.

They’ll be looking to capitalize on their Season 9 opener triumph and hope that Pardeep and Gill can keep their winning streak going when they face the Season 2 champs.

Nitesh Kumar, Sumit, Shubham Kumar, and Ashu Singh are among the Yoddhas’ defensive possibilities.

All of their defenders performed admirably against the Panthers, and they will expect to do so again when they face U Mumba.

Surender Gill’s spectacular raid in the first few minutes of the second half kept the UP Yoddhas in the game, 13-15.

Defenders Kiran Magar and Rinku ensured that the Mumbai team maintained their lead at 17-13.

Then, in the 30th minute, Ashish executed a multi-point raid, reducing the UP Yoddhas to only one man on the mat.

Soon after, U Mumba attacked Pardeep Narwal and delivered an all-out to take a commanding 23-17 lead.

The U Mumba defense continued to shine as the Mumbai team took a 10-point lead in the 36th minute, 28-18.

The U Mumba raiders were cautious in the last minutes as the squad secured a resounding victory.

Defending champions Dabang Delhi K.C. began their season with a bang, winning convincingly in their season opener.

Naveen Kumar, their talisman, was again in the center of the action, claiming the first Super 10 of the season after accumulating 13 raid points.

Ashu Malik contributed six raid points to Naveen’s assault in the game, while Manjeet and Ashish Narwal would expect to contribute more in attack in the future match.

In defense, they have several alternatives who displayed their ability in the team’s season opener.

Ravi Kumar, Vishal, Krishan, and Sandeep Dhull were outstanding against U Mumba and will be hoping for a similar performance against Gujarat Giants.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Giants hold to a tie in their opening encounter of Season 9 and will be looking to win their first game.

Getting the better of Dabang Delhi K.C. will not be simple, but the Giants will know they can win if their offense and defense ignite.

Rakesh set the mat on fire with his clinical raiding in their previous battle, earning him 13 points.

He will be looking for more excellent offensive help from skipper Chandran Ranjit and Parteek Dahiya after only five and four raid points in their last encounter, respectively.

Their prospects of winning the match mainly depend on how their defenders perform after Sourav Gulia and Rinku Narwal struggled to make an impact in their last encounter.

Naveen Kumar and Manjeet led the assault for Delhi, both recording Super 10s.

Dabang Delhi and Gujarat Giants were patient in the early exchanges, with neither gaining a significant lead.

While Rakesh H.S. was in charge of the Giants, captain Naveen Kumar attempted to motivate his team.

The defenders had a field day with this as the raiders struggled to score.

In the second half, Naveen racked up a few fast points for Delhi, who took the lead. Soon after, the Delhi defense went all in on the Giants.

Rakesh completed his Super 10 for the Gujarat Giants before the end of the first half.

At the same time, Naveen & Manjeet were doing the majority of the heavy work for Delhi, which led to 21-17 at the interval.

The Giants attempted to re-enter the contest early in the second half, but Manjeet co-managed a Super Tackle, allowing Delhi to extend their lead even more.

After that, Delhi dominated the game, and everyone on the squad contributed critical points as Naveen completed his Super 10.

The Giants attempted everything they could to close the distance. On the other hand, the defending champs were on fire that night, leading by 14 points in the 35th minute.

Krishan, Ashu Malik, Manjeet, and Vishal superbly assisted the excellent Naveen as Delhi easily won.
