Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Patna Pirates | Pro Kabaddi League 2022 Highlights

On Sunday, the Jaipur Pink Panthers will face the Patna Pirates in the inaugural match of Pro Kabaddi Season 9.

The Season 1 champions appear to be a good side on paper and will try to live up to their promise on the mat.

On Friday, Jaipur was defeated by UP Yoddhas in their first PKL 2022 encounter.

In Bengaluru, the U.P. Yoddhas and the Jaipur Pink Panthers had a roller coaster of a match.

Both teams scored points and were neck and neck throughout the game, but the Yoddhas held their nerve to overcome the Panthers 34-32.

The team will now try to rebound against Patna.

The Panthers have ensured that they have various options in attack with raiders like Rahul Chaudhari, Arjun Deshwal, and V Ajith Kumar on the roster.

Arjun Deshwal was the team’s second-highest raid points (267) scorer last season and will be the lead raider, with Rahul Chaudhari and V Ajith Kumar serving as auxiliary raiders.

Sunil Kumar and Sahul Kumar, who excelled with tackling for the Season 1 winners last season, lead the Jaipur Pink Panthers’ defense.

Newcomers Lucky Sharma and Nitin Chandel will try to contribute defensively.

Patna Pirates, the three-time champions, will face Jaipur in their second Pro Kabaddi Season 9 encounter.

They will rely on their senior raider Sachin to spearhead their attack and replicate his outstanding form from the previous season, when he amassed 172 raid points, making him the Patna Pirates’ raider of choice.

Sukesh Hegde, a seasoned raider with 471 raid points in Vivo Pro Kabaddi, will assist him. Patna Pirates captain Neeraj Kumar will be marshaling his soldiers in defense.

Last season, Neeraj Kumar had 53 tackle points and was a significant cause for their tight defense.

He and Sunil, who had 49 tackle points last season, will bear most of the team’s defensive responsibilities.

All-rounders like Rohit Gulia and Sajin C will balance the club by contributing to both offense and defense.
